Are you ready for your next ski trip? Every year we head to Courchevel this has been a tradition for the past 10 years! We have always stayed in a Chalet but this year we decided to make a change and try the Six Senses and oh my goodness what a difference, I wouldn’t do it any other way. A trip to Courchevel doesn’t need to be only about skiing, exercise and getting up early it’s an amazing destination to seek some relax. Take notes!
Six Senses Residences Courchevel takes traditional mountain living to new heights. It has been meticulously designed and appointed with interiors inspired by its surroundings.
One of their chalets is a must. You walk in and you have literally gone to chalet heaven. The views over the valley to the mountains or to the courtyard are just breathtaking. It’s like something from a winter wonderland fairytale.
The residences give you the feel of being in a private chalet but with all the best parts of hotel living. They have a 24 hour concierge service who were very friendly and able to help with any need we had during our stay from restaurant bookings to booking snow bikes. They have delicious room service and a car service to take me direct to lunch.
After the accommodation, the lunches are the best thing about Courchevel, everyone is together and we enjoy some amazing food and a glass of wine… Oh alright, a bottle darling!
For me it’s not all about the skiing. Some might say I’m all the gear and no idea. I love dressing in the big coats, sunglasses and boots! Once the Après-ski moment is over, we all head back to the hotel and chill out for the evenings and, what better way to chill than in a hot tub surrounded by snow! Literally. Six Senses Spa Courchevel has everything you could possibly want or need from a Spa in the mountains. It offers residents a welcome respite after an exhilarating day of skiing.
There are five treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a juice bar and wet facilities including saunas, steam rooms and Kneipp footbath therapy and a separate relaxation lounge. The separate relaxation room is a must when my children are using the facilities. They absolutely love swimming and cannot contain their excitement! Luckily the pool has a rule of no children after 6.30pm, a rule I’m considering in my house 😉.
After a fab week, we are already looking forward to next year and cannot wait to be back!
