Happy New You

It is rather belated but I’d like to wish everyone a very happy new year.  I hope you use the turn of this new decade to your advantage! Whether that’s making resolutions (and contrary to popular narrative it IS okay to make them – you do you!) or deciding what it is you want to have achieved by the turn of 2030 – it’s a good time to press the reset button, regardless.

You may have noticed I haven’t been particularly active on my website for a few months. As many of you will now know, my husband and I have decided not to continue our relationship as a married couple.  We have been married for 17 years, together for 19 and in that time we have shared countless special memories and brought 3 wonderful children in to the world.  There is no big drama – we just simply believe we are better continuing our relationship as friends.  He is a wonderful, intelligent, handsome and caring person and luckily, we get to stay in each other’s lives.

I know the announcement came as a surprise to many and I am so grateful for the outpouring of love I received after we made the news public.  The messages I received got me through a tough period, they continue to do so, and I am so thankful to have a platform where support is abundant.

I was also touched that so many of you reached out to share your own stories. Relationships are not easy, they take work and sometimes they don’t work out how you want them to – and that’s okay!

One of my main takeaways from this experience is that we are all going through something – whether publicly or privately. It’s easy to look at someone’s social media and assume things are one way but remember these are highlights, you don’t see the other 23 hours of someone’s day.

Am I nervous starting a new year, a new decade with my path a little less certain than it was before? Definitely.  But I am a glass half full kind of person and I am excited about the unknown.  Nothing is forever, the good and bad, so why worry?

I will be discussing this all and so much more in my upcoming tour According to Caroline – buy your tickets here for a great night out to share, manifest and grow! I’ll be in NYC on the 7th April and Chicago on the 8th April.

Again, thank you for all of your support so far and I hope you continue on this journey with me! I will be producing regular content and articles for my website so please let me know what you’d like to see more of.
