Travelling with children is never easy, I am speaking from experience. We are lucky enough to be a well-travelled family. We go skiing every February, and love to take the children away during the summer holidays. Before we go I try and plan activities and days out for them in advance. The minute we moved to Dubai they couldn’t wait to start exploring. Dubai activities are amazing, it really is like a big playground for children. Sometimes I find it hard with 3 children who all have very different personalities and are different ages. But here there really is something for everyone. Here are my top five locations for children and your inner child!
Aquaventure Waterpark Dubai
There are a few water parks here, but I think the Aquaventure Waterpark was our favourite. It’s located in Atlantis the Palm, which is also a great place to visit whilst in Dubai and has a lot to offer! As well as all the rides, there is children’s pool play areas where my boys spend hours! Aquaventure beach, perfect for relaxing while the children are splashing around. The river rides which is a great places to start as you can see everything the park has to offer whilst relaxing on a tube. As well as the park they also offer great excursions. The Dolphin bay where you can interact with the Dolphins, the lost chambers aquarium, the Aquatrek and snorkelling.
IMG Worlds of Adventure
IMG is the worlds largest indoor theme park! This park rides for children of all ages, don’t be fooled by the cartoon design some a faster than what they look! It’s a fun day out for thrill seekers and families. They have a themed restaurants and food stall catering to everyone. Also, huge merchandise shops which seems to be my children’s favourite part- I’m not sure where they get it from!
Lego Land Dubai
Everything is made from Lego, it’s amazing! My boys are huge fans, but I also took my daughter and her friend, and they enjoyed it just as much. They have a huge theme park with lots of rides, shows and attractions to enjoy. They also have a waterpark which you can buy a package deal for the both. However we only visited the theme park.
Global Village is a seasonal attraction. And is only open from October to April as it’s outside. Because of this, during the warmer months it isn’t possible to walk around in the heat. Anyway, if you are travelling to Dubai during these times, I would recommend it. Inside is an area dedicated to countries all over the world, from the UK to India to the United States of America. You can enjoy shopping from the market stalls inside and try different foods and flavours from different cultures at the food court. They also have live shows where some of them the children can take part. At the end of the village there is a huge carnival filled with rides and arcade games where you can win tokens and prizes.
La Perle Show
La Perle Show is an amazing experience for all the family. It’s a live show filled with breath-taking acts that you don’t expect. My children have never been so quiet for that long. Their mouths were wide open with shock and eyes glued to the stage.
And thats not all!
This isn’t even the half of it! There are beaches filled with activities for children. Kite beach offers a range of activities including kitesurfing, scuba and snorkelling. The malls are great with the cinema experiences. We have ski Dubai in the Mall of the Emirates, the ice rink in Dubai Mall and Laser Tag in J3 Mall Dubai. Enjoy!
